The Rev. Jill Graham has served as the pastor the First Congregational Church of Sheffield since 2007. She brings a deep love of ministry that is grounded in the extravagant love of God and expressed through ordinary acts of caring, joy, and sharing the journey of life. Believing that God is active in and through people of all ages, there is great delight in intergenerational activities that bring people together, deepen relationships, and nurture ministries that make a positive difference in peoples’ lives.
Jill was born and raised in Great Barrington, with ties to the area that go back several generations. Ordained in 1990, she served United Church of Christ congregations in Housatonic and North Adams before coming to Sheffield. She has one son, Graham Frank (Chief of Police in New Marlborough), a grandson Shaun, and is married to the love of her life, Jim Kelly.
In addition to her family she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, camping with Jim, playing with her black lab, Bailey, walking in the woods, and taking advantage of the many blessings that come with living in the Berkshires. Oh, and yes, she is a huge Red Sox fan!
Considering herself blessed to be in ministry during this time of innovation and renewal in the life of the church, she looks with renewed optimism toward what God is doing in and through the people of First Congregational Church of Sheffield, United Church of Christ.
